Move AnnouncerThe web change of address service

How Can You Announce Your Move?

Move Announcer is a unique service on the web designed to help webmasters move their web sites. We look in your web server transfer log file to find sites that are sending visitors to your old page.  We then send e-mail to all the webmasters we can, asking them to update their links to your site. The entire process typically takes just a few hours, depending on how many referring links were found.

You can do a move announcement for your site in 4 easy steps:

  1. Old URL
On our home page, enter your old URL in the box and press Go! You will then be presented with a form to fill out.

  2. New URL
Type in your site's new URL and other information so we know where your site has gone and your web server's transfer log file so we know which sites contain links to yours.

  3. Payment
You can pay for your move announcement via PayPal using a credit card or directly from your bank account. And if you're not satisfied with your move announcement, we offer a full money back guarantee!

  4. Authentication
It is vital that only YOU are allowed to announce a move of your site. We take care of this with our authentication procedure.

And that's it! Once Move Announcer has completed announcing your move, you will receive a final message confirming that your move has been announced and providing you with a list of all the web sites contacted, as well as any we couldn't. To protect their privacy, we don't include the e-mail addresses of the webmasters of these sites.

Please note that we do not submit your URL to search engines, directory sites or sites that do not accept updates by e-mail. Please see our Tips page for help in submitting to these types of sites.

Moved Site Database

You can search our list of moved web sites to verify a move announcement we sent you. If you'd like, you can add your own moved site to this database for free (these unverified entries are clearly marked as such when you search).

Now, let's get started.
